Why Moms Love It
Bennington is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city living, but close enough to all the conveniences that the Greater Omaha area offers. Moms love the small-town feel and camaraderie that we have with all the families in the neighborhoods. The school system is also top-notch. Local Family Favorites
Centennial Park:: Located in the heart of downtown Bennington, this park is well-shaded and offers a large playground area and covered gazebo for your enjoyment.
Johns-Bohn Park:: This gem is nestled along the paved walking/biking trail off 162nd and Bennington Road. There is a huge playground area, covered picnic facilities, sand volleyball, tennis courts, and close access to the Bennington Soccer Fields.
Flanagan Lake:: This is the newest addition to the area, and for some of us–it’s almost in our backyard! Flanagan Lake features a 220-acre lake for public water recreation, picnic shelters, restrooms, a paved 5.2 mile walking/hiking/biking trail, and will eventually have a playground!
Stone Creek Park:: This park is right off 168th across from Flanagan Lake and has a huge playground area that caters to kids of all ages from toddlers on up, covered picnic facilities, a soccer field, tennis courts, and a basketball court.
The Warehouse:: Whether you’re itching to enjoy a date night, or just want to take the family out for dinner, the Warehouse is one of our favorites. Located off Highway 36 near 156th St., they offer a huge menu and exceptional small-town service.
Nate’s Stumble Inn:: This Old Town Bennington staple doesn’t disappoint with nightly dinner specials, Taco Tuesdays, and outside seating during the warmer months.
