Omaha
My husband and I are Illinois natives, but have spent our married life traveling the world—thank you Air Force. We are packing our bags and preparing to relocate to Omaha this month (June 2019). Woohoo! That makes this opportunity super sweet for me because I’ll get to bring a fresh perspective to the Omaha Moms Blog (OMB) readers. My family cannot wait to explore the area and start making memories. We bought our first home ever in Papillion, so we are ready to settle in for as long as the Air Force allows.
Moms
Being a military mama is not always easy, but my kiddos get to have wonderful adventures. I am a mama to three little boys who were each born in different places. Theodore (seven) was born in Louisiana, Woodrow (five) was born in North Dakota, and Maximus (two) was born in Guam! These little boys keep me on my toes… if it is quiet around the house that usually means trouble is brewing!
These little guys have taught me a lot about myself. Some days we just have to lie around in pajamas building blocks and creating train tracks; while other days we hit the road with the bottomless snack bag and go adventuring. My motto when adventuring is always, “we’ll see how things go.” Sometimes things go great and we reach our planned destination, and other times things head south. There’s almost always laughter or somebody in tears…it might even be me. Ha!

Connecting with other moms and women in the communities I live in is very important to me. I don’t ever want anyone to feel isolated or alone. Being a military spouse means meeting people who aren’t usually living in their hometowns and might not know all that is available to them in their current area. Being a mom at home with little ones can be isolating at times. I am so excited to be able to write for the OMB and share my stories and adventures with other moms.
I’m here with open arms ready to make my Omaha Moms Tribe.
