Omaha Moms Blog:: Introducing Meg

Omaha

I was born in Long Beach, California and raised in Wichita, Kansas. I moved to Colorado in 2009 to pursue my career in real estate management. I’ve called the Omaha area home since 2015 and reside in Papillion. I never thought I would some how wind up in the town I’ve always loved growing up! I have many memories as a child traveling to Nebraska to visit family for the holidays. I’m blessed to have my 91 year old grandmother just a skip, hop, and a jump away. A few things that are at the top of the list on why I love Omaha are, first and foremost, the people that make this city so welcoming, Lauritzen Gardens, the farmers’ markets, local makers, and of course, the iconic Omaha Zoo.  The community of Moms in Omaha is everywhere you look and if you don’t want to look too hard, just hit up your local Target.

I’m a blessed mama to my sweet girl, Norah (2). Brutal honesty . . . being a mom was not in my “five year plan” when I got pregnant. In 2010, my doctor told me I would have a hard time conceiving, if I was ever successful after being diagnosed with endometriosis. That all changed when I found out I was pregnant almost three years ago, which is a story for another blog post. Being a mom is such a gift that has allowed an enormous amount of grace and unconditional love into my life that makes my heart so full day in and day out. The bond I have with my daughter and watching her grow is my favorite thing about being a mom.

Blog

I am honored to be apart of the Omaha Moms Blog (OMB) team and to grow my tribe of fellow mamas. It is my hope that through my writing I am able to help provide you with encouragement, laughs and maybe a few tears through my perspective as a divorced, full-time single mom, and business owner, navigating life one day at a time. Thank you for following me on this journey. Cheers!
